A quick pause for updates and gratitude

arms blog

Hello all you fine people! Don’t worry – there’s a whole new set of wedding images coming your way this afternoon, and I can’t wait to share them with you!

This season has been crazy busy and completely amazing, and it’s not over yet. I feel so, so lucky to have been part of so many beautiful days, and week after week I find something new to love about life, just through the time I’ve spent with all of you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of you for being such a beautiful part of my life. This is my seventh year in the industry, and you all manage to make me laugh and tear up over and over. I leave each wedding and portrait session feeling grateful for the opportunities I have to see the love you all have for each other, and excited to go home and snuggle my own awesome family. My schedule is full, but so is my heart.

If you follow me on Facebook then you probably know a little more about what I’ve been up to, both personally and professionally. It occurred to me the other day that I haven’t even had a chance to post about my boys here yet. Shameful! And something I’ll rectify as soon as I get through wedding season. Because you guys? They’re awesome. I’m so in love with Thomas and Jude, and blown away by the way Isla has taken on her new role as big sister. Craig and I are pretty lucky people, and I’m looking forward to sharing these amazing kiddos with you.

Anyway, I just wanted to take a quick moment to tell you all how much I appreciate you. My life is pretty chaotic these days, but it’s beautiful, and all of you are a big part of that. Thank you for letting me share your happy moments. 2015 is booking up, and I’m so excited about it all! If you’ve been considering getting in touch, I’d love to hear from you and get you in my schedule. This fall is also pretty full, but I can probably squeeze in a few more people. And if you’ve been waiting for an email from me and haven’t heard back, please send me a quick note. Our internet was down almost entirely for a little over two weeks, and unfortunately it looks as though some emails I sent out during that time got lost in the intermittent connection. I think I’ve caught back up with everyone, but let me know if I’ve missed you.

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming! Check back this afternoon for Claude and Stephanie’s Port Elgin wedding. It rained. They laughed anyway. I love them.

Cheers!

Jill
