Scott & Jess – Halifax Wedding Photographer
I wish I could show you how excited my face looked when I heard from Jess last year. Would I be interested in traveling to Halifax? YESPLEASE! I visited Halifax in 2011 to run the Blue Nose and completely fell in love with the city, and as she filled me in on her plans (and then sudden change of plans!) I just got more and more excited. I built this wedding up so big in my head.
And you know what? It didn’t disappoint. The city, the venues, the backdrops? Amazing. Scott and Jess? Oh, you guys, I had SUCH a great few days out there with this incredible couple and all of the wonderful people they’ve surrounded themselves with. This was a really special wedding and I feel so honoured to have been out there to experience it all. The biggest of thank yous to Scott and Jess, and to everyone else who was there and part of this day. Thank you for the warm welcomes and the laughter, and for sharing all of this with me!
Scott and Jess, I hope you love these as much as I loved taking them! You two were fabulous to work with, and I’m excited to share these with you (and the many more still to come!)
Okay, enough babbling. Look at this awesome wedding!
FYI, I gasped when she pulled out the dress. A girl after my own heart.
^How great is this?? Scott’s sister Kate gave this 100 year old book of ‘don’t’s to Jess. Hilarious.
Also, I’m enamoured with this set of plates that they have up in their house (also a gift from Kate!). This one was my favourite and I really needed to share it with you. It just felt like a nice sentiment for this weekend.
GREEN!!
But no high tens!
I mean… we had to.
^I’m still geeking out over this.
Oh, did I mention that the reception was at the Citadel? I loved this. Further down you’ll see where the party took place in the north casements. It was perfect.
