Aleks and John – Hamilton Engagement Photographer

About a zillion years ago my dear friend Aleks put on a cheap eBay wedding dress and met me at 6am to traipse around Toronto to help me practice in the very beginning of this whole adventure. I have known this incredible woman since our days together in WLUSU at Laurier (when was the last time I typed WLUSU??), and now she’s starting a whole new adventure together with her fiancé, John.

I love John. I love these two together, and I love how happy they make each other, and I couldn’t be happier for them both. This past weekend the three of us ventured out together in Hamilton for an engagement session, and I just had the best time with them. It was a lot of laughing, snuggling, hand knit scarves, and love. Always love. Aleks and John, thank you so much for this beautiful day out together! Aleks, thank you for always being such an important and special part of my life. There aren’t words for how much I treasure you. ♥ John, thank you for making my beautiful friend so happy, and welcome to the loud, ridiculous family of friends we’ve built for ourselves. ♥

This giant point blanket that usually hangs out in my play room has been the first choice of blankets in most of my sessions over the past little while, and I’m always so happy when people choose it. It’s one of my favourite things in our house, and it feels so quintessentially Canadian.

John was having a great time fogging up Aleks’ glasses in the cold. See the difference between the above and below images. 😉

This is Aleks’ very first knit scarf. Didn’t she do an amazing job? She happily gave it to John, and those of you who recognize it as being TARDIS blue will appreciate some of the conversations we’ve had.

These scarves knit by John’s Granny. ♥
