Happy Valentine’s Day and Family Day!
Â
I hope that everyone had a great Valentine’s Day, and to those of you in Ontario, a fabulous Family Day! (Thanks for another long weekend, Dalton!) We spent the holiday weekend at home with my mom and some close friends, but we were here in Toronto for Valentine’s Day on Thursday. Here are some shots of how I connected with my family and my wonderful Craig over the weekend.
Here’s Craig taking in the snow covered Lake Huron in Southampton.

My grandmother’s dress. My mom’s mom was one of the classiest and most elegant women I’ve ever met. This was her much-coveted black ballgown. My mom thought it was far too sad to leave it hanging in a closet so when she came across an old dress maker’s dummy she picked it up so the dress would have a more fitting place to be kept.

My beloved piano. It’s been in my family for generations, and I’m itching to move in to a house so that we can be reunited. I’m terrible, but I love it.

My recently framed childhood. Yeah, my brother and I were pretty cute. Did I say were? I meant ‘are’.
