Hi! I'm Jill! I live in Mississauga and I want to take pictures of you and the people you love.
I could use this space to talk to you about how I've always had a passion for photography and how great a privelege it is to do this for a living. I could tell you how much I love weddings and happy people and capturing moments and eating Cheerios. All these things are true, but I'd rather talk to you about why I think photography is so important.
One of my favourite things in my apartment is a big box of pictures. Just a plain old cardboard box that's full of decades of snapshots of my family, from long before I was born until I was a geek in grade nine with bad hair and buck teeth. It's a mess. It's completely disorganized and in serious need of someone to sit down and put all those pictures in albums. One of these days I'll get to it (maybe/I hope/I keep telling myself). Even though this box is a disaster, it's also a treasure. Every now and then I like to haul that thing into the living room and pull out a handful of pictures and take in all the amazingness that is my family. My mom in high school. My dad as a kid. My parents on their honeymoon out east. My brother and I when we weren't ripping each other's hair out. My Nana holding me when I was a baby.
Not everyone in that box is with us anymore - we've lost a few along the way. Luckily, we have handfuls of reminders of the parts they played in our lives. I love that box.
This is why I feel so strongly about the importance of photography, and why I bring such love and caring with me every time I go out to shoot. Let me help you remember how life felt, and create some beautiful images that you can hold on to and look back on years and decades from now.
Wedding commissions begin at $2300, lifestyle sessions at $250. I am now taking bookings for 2012, and would love to be there to help you build your history in images.
