My uncle has leukemia.  He needs a bone marrow donation.

And he’s not alone.  There are many, many others in his shoes right now.  Sadly, in a lot of cases there isn’t a match within the family.  In these cases the only hope is some wonderful person out there who has made the amazing decision to go on the donor list. 

Now, I’ve been fortunate enough to meet thousands of wonderful people over the past few years, and I know how important the people in your lives are to you.  And now I can hear some of you saying to yourselves, ‘you know, Jill’s right.  I am pretty wonderful and I love the people in my life and I think it would be pretty awesome to save someone else’s life’.

So now you ask, ‘how do I go about doing this amazing thing?’

Then just follow from there.  They’ll send you a test kit in the mail – basically a quick swab of the inside of your cheek with a Q-tip.  Pop it back in the case, seal, and toss back in the mail.  It’s easy, it’s free, and you could be –>thisclose<– to saving someone’s life.  The more people who do this, the better the odds that someone will already be in the system as a match if someone in your life ever needs this.

Aaaaaand we’re back!  Some unfortunately timed server issues kept the site down last night, but things appear to be business as usual again – which means I can finally show you more of Aynsley and Steve’s beautiful wedding at Hockley Valley in Orangeville.

I knew this wedding would be special, and it didn’t disappoint.  Despite some unfortunate weather it was a day full of laughter and joy, and some of the best speeches and MC work I’ve had the pleasure to see at a wedding.  Aynsley and Steve, congrats again, you two!  I loved being part of your day, and I hope you’ll love these images as much as I enjoyed capturing them.

This weekend the lovely Amanda asked me to come out for a session with her family.  We couldn’t have been luckier with the blue skies while everyone enjoyed the gorgeous beach in Southampton.  I had such a good time with this group!  Thanks everyone!

I recently had the chance to spend an afternoon with Heather, Aron and they’re awesome little baby Escher.  This little guy has SO much personality and was fantastic to work with.  I just love this little family.  Thanks guys!
